UPS' new Ding-Dong Ditch delivery method takes customer service to new low
A few scattered throughts ...
-- Ann Coulter is a blight on common decency. It is way overdue for her 15 minutes to be up. Hopelessly rude and indefensible, with her comments about 9/ll widows Coulter sadly has become just a pathetic example of what becomes of a person who just wants to sell books. She'll do anything, say anything.
-- Dumb conservative joke going around: "There's a new Hillary bumper sticker out and it says 'Run Hillary Run.' Democrats put it on their back bumper and Republicans on the front." OK, it's kind of funny.
-- Would you like to have been a bat on the wall of hell when al-Zarqawi woke up there yesterday. Imagine the conversation at central check-in: "Could you point me to the room with the virgins?" ... "Well sir, ummm, there's been a slight change of plans."
-- Letterman weighed in with a good line among the late night comedians: "You think it's too early to hit on Mrs. Zarqawi?"
-- Samantha Bee of the Daily Show delivered maybe the best: "It was a bad day for Zarqawi, but an even worse day for the virgin wrangler in hell."
-- Loved President Bush's stumbling tongue during his morning briefing Thursday, referring to the now-dead terror mastermind as if Al were his first name. Al Zarqawi. Bush didn't even try to pronounce the first name of the Iraqi president either. Musta been way too early in the morning...
-- And I've gotta big beef: What is the deal with UPS? You remember when we used to take delivery of a package and the guys in brown actually SPOKE when we came to the door? Nowadays it feels like I'm getting ding-dong ditched by the neighbor kids. UPS now rings the doorbell, drops the package and runs, often back at the truck before you can even get to the front door. What a sad sign of what we've become. First it was community mailboxes, now UPS can't even wait long enough for customers to get to their front door. So much for customer service. (Oh, efforts to contact UPS for an explanation of this new practice, by the way, went unanswered.)
