BLUE OCTOBER RESCHEDULES TOUR
Blue October will return to the road on June 17th after being forced to stop touring for six weeks when frontman Justin Furstenfeld broke his right leg. The group will kick off its new tour in Houston, Texas and make up the dates that were scrapped because of the singer's injury. Violinist/pianist Ryan Delahoussaye told LAUNCH that he's confident the group's current success with the single "Hate Me" will make up for any lost ground. "It has been above and beyond our expectations, and that's why I think everything's gonna be fine. You know, with the momentum of the song and the record going, six weeks is just gonna make people want us more, and then we'll get back out there and show 'em why they waited."

Furstenfeld injured his right leg on April 29th in Tampa, Florida, breaking his femur bone and tearing a ligament while running the bases at a local minor league ballpark. The injury occurred after Blue October played a radio concert at the ballpark.

"Hate Me" comes off the band's recently released fourth album, Foiled.

Confirmed Blue October tour Texas dates:
June 17 - Houston, TX - Buzzfest
June 18 - Frisco, TX - Edgefest

TOOL DIDN'T TAKE FIVE YEARS TO MAKE '10,000 DAYS'
For fans that have hungered for new music from Tool, the five years between 2001's Lateralus and the new 10,000 Days might have felt like an eternity. But Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan told LAUNCH that the group spent only about a third of that time actually making the record. "You know, we were on the road for two years, and then I went off and made two albums with Perfect Circle and toured, and then we started, like, focusing on it (the album) for about a year and a half."

10,000 Days sold 564,000 copies in its first week of release, debuting at Number One on the Billboard Top 200. Lateralus sold nearly as many and also entered the chart at Number One.

Tool's North American club and theatre tour concluded last night (Sunday, May 21st) in Boston. Bassist Justin Chancellor told MTV.com that the group's next North American trek, an eight-week swing through arenas, will begin in August and run through late September.

The group is planning its next tour around the harvesting schedule at Maynard James Keenan's vineyard in Sedona, Arizona. Keenan plans to be at his Merkin Vineyards sometime this summer to oversee the harvesting of this year's grapes. The singer introduced his first wines earlier this year and plans to release three more later in 2006.

WHAT?S THE REAL STORY BEHIND PANICS LOSS OF BASSIST? Last week it was announced that Panic! At the Disco bassist Brent Wilson would be leaving the band, but it remained unclear as to why. MTV News spoke to guitarist Ryan Ross about the departure, and his comment was, ?It was a decision we all came to as a band, and reached an understanding on. It was really tough because we are all so close, but we feel like we left it in a good place.? Fans have been speculating all over the Internet about the issue, to which Ross said, ?It?s a shame that fans are so upset. We are going to continue to be the same band and nothing about our music has changed? The tour won?t be affected at all ? we are excited to head out and play for everyone.?

AVENGED JOIN OZZFEST
Although they denied any involvement with playing Ozzfest a few months back, it has been confirmed that Avenged Sevenfold will in fact be playing the main stage for the tour. The tour kicks off on June 19th in Seattle, and the boys are more than ready for the event. Guitarist Zachy Vengeance spoke to MTV News about the challenge, saying, ?We can?t wait to get out in front of a strictly metal audience, and prove to the world what we?re about and what we can do.? The tour also includes System of a Down, Disturbed and Lacuna Coil. This is the first time in the 11-year history of the tour that Ozzy Osbourne will not be closing the tour.

24 MAY HAVE AN INTERESTING END SOMEDAY
Over the course of five seasons, Kiefer Sutherland?s character on 24, ?Jack Bauer,? has survived many a scrape. But even though we may think otherwise, he is mortal. Someday he will die and the series will have to end. Not yet, of course, but it will. Mary Lynn Rajskub, who plays ?Jack?s? right hand woman ?Chloe O?Brian,? has a theory how the end might come. ?Like, this terrorist thing escalates and it blows the entire planet up and everything is gone. And then when life starts again, it?s poodles.? The two-hour season finale of 24 airs tonight at 7 on Fox.
