PAPA ROACH WORKING ON 'RAUNCHIER' ALBUM
Papa Roach has been in the studio recording its fourth major label album and singer Jacoby Shaddix is apparently convinced that the world has forgotten about the group. According to TheGauntlet.com, Shaddix said, "We know nobody cares about us right now. This is most definitely a comeback, no doubt about it. The record is going great. We started writing last October and we've been in the studio for the last few months. There was a constant flare of creativity that we got from being together in the same place." Shaddix added that the album might have a raunchier sound than usual, explaining that one song, called "Desire," is "us exploring our sexual urges. It's Sade meets a very heavy Nirvana."

Papa Roach has posted video updates on the recording sessions at its official website in the last few months.

The new CD will follow up 2004's Getting Away With Murder, which has sold over one million copies since its release.

Papa Roach issued its first DVD, called Live And Murderous In Chicago, last November.

YELLOWCARD READY TO START MAKING 'SOUNDS' AGAIN
Yellowcard has announced the dates and cities for a summer tour of North America, the group's first since vocalist Ryan Key underwent surgery last month for a cyst on his vocal chords. The group rescheduled several dates originally planned for this month and early June to give Key enough time to recuperate from the procedure.
They've scheduled one date for Texas:
July 26 - Houston, TX - Verizon Wireless Theater

Yellowcard will appear on the June 22nd edition of CBS-TV's Late Show with David Letterman.

FORMER TRUST COMPANY MEMBERS LAUNCH NEW PROJECT
Former Trust Company guitarist and singer Kevin Palmer and bassist Josh Moates will release the first album from their new project, Amity Lane, in September. Although Palmer and Moates were founding members and principal songwriters of Trust Company, Moates said that the duo wanted to start fresh with a new name, explaining, "We could've tried to keep the name, and do it as another Trust Company record, but even though musically there's definitely some similarities, we wanted to put this out with a clean slate."

The new group also features Palmer's wife, Layla Palmer, on keyboards and vocals.

The band has previewed several tracks from its album on its MySpace page.

Trust Company released its debut CD, The Lonely Position of Neutral, in 2002. The disc was eventually certified gold and featured the singles "Downfall" and "Running from Me." The group produced a follow-up in 2005 called True Parallels, but disappointing sales and lack of label support led to the band's dissolution.

NEW TO THEATERS MAY 19

THE DA VINCI CODE
Based on Dan Brown's wildly popular novel, The Da Vinci Code stars Tom Hanks as Harvard symbols scholar Robert Langdon. Langdon is called to Paris to help investigate the murder of the curator at the Louvre. The curator's granddaughter Sophie is also on the case and together they race the police, the Catholic Church, and an assortment of shady characters to uncover the contents of an encoded cylinder that supposedly contains evidence of "the greatest cover-up in history."

OVER THE HEDGE
A mischievous raccoon named R. J. convinces a tight-knit group of woodsy creatures to raid the trash cans and kitchens of their human neighbors for food. The animals, led by Verne the turtle, are terrified of the prospect but soon are hooked on the plentiful salty and sweet snacks they can find "over the hedge." That honeymoon is soon over, however, when the critters discover that R.J. has been less than honest with them, and they find themselves in the crosshairs of an angry bear and a crazy exterminator. Bruce Willis, Garry Shandling, and Wanda Sykes star.

SEE NO EVIL
World Wrestling Entertainment personality Kane makes his big screen debut in See No Evil, a horror movie about a group of petty criminals with the unfortunate luck of doing community service in a hotel that's a psycho killer's playground. Kane plays Jacob, a seven-foot-tall mass of muscle who kidnaps one of the convicts and forces the others to save her at the risk of their own lives.
