RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS ?TELL ME BABY?
Although the video for ?Dani California,? the first single from the Red Hot Chili Peppers? new album Stadium Arcadium, is still on the TRL top ten chart, the guys have already made a new video. It?s for ?Tell Me Baby? and it aired in the U-K on Friday. It hasn?t been confirmed when the video will be released here in the U-S, but bassist Flea says it?s ?The best one we ever did. It was done by Dayton and Faris. They made us the best video of our career and I can?t say what it is and ruin the debut of it, not to sound so high and mighty like it is such an important thing but, I think it is the most beautiful piece of film that has ever represented us. I can?t wait for y'all to see it, I don?t know exactly when it is coming out but it will be soon for sure.?

DAVE NAVARRO STARTS FROM SCRATCH
Dave Navarro is no stranger to the world of fame. He?s been playing in bands, marrying beautiful women, and starring in reality TV shows for some time now, and yet he managed to take quite a fresh approach to his new band, The Panic Channel. He told us that it was a very new experience for him. ?One of the things that we?re so proud of with The Panic Channel is that we created something literally from nothing because a year and a half ago, there was absolutely no music, no band, nothing to do, and now here we are with a body of work and shows and we?re accumulating fans.? (One) is the debut album from The Panic Channel and it hits stores on August 15th.

DASHBOARD TAKE THEIR TIME
D-I-Y guy Chris Carrabba ? the man behind Dashboard Confessional ? started out convinced that way too many groups took way too long to make their albums. However, Carrabba now says he?s noticed his own studio time expanding over the years ? and the band?s latest album, out next week, was the most time consuming yet. ?Well this was a vast change, I think, this record. Mainly in terms of, my first record took two days, two nights, two like all-nighters of free session time after a studio closed, my second record took 12 days, my third record took six weeks, which I thought was like, ?Who could ever need more time than that, ever?? And I was in the studio for about a year making this record. So that was the most obvious change.? The new Dashboard Confessional album is called Dusk And Summer, and it?ll be out on June 27th.

INSIDE ANGELS & AIRWAVES
Before the release of We Don?t Need To Whisper, the debut album by Angels & Airwaves, the group?s guitarist, Tom Delonge ? formerly of Blink-182 -- predicted they were going to become, quote: ?the biggest band in the world.? Possibly he was basing his hopes for this on the group?s deep-thinking studio techniques. ?In the studio, we would dim all the lights and we would shut all the blinds on the windows and we would put like Stanley Kubrick?s 2001 on a big, huge, flat screen, we would take these double page spreads of Steven Ambrose like World War II books of cities burning and women carrying their babies out of bombed out buildings and crazy, disturbing images and then we would write like a love song. And it would contain all of these emotions from like, we would say, ?As this endless hope of futurism in space, the polar opposite of this organic evil that man keeps doing.? So it created this tug of war between love and war, this conflict of the best and worst things that human beings can do.? The Angels & Airwaves album debut at number 4 on the Billboard chart three weeks ago ? this week it?s down at number 20. The band will be joining Taking Back Sunday on Thursday for a show at Great Adventure, in Jackson, New Jersey.

EVERCLEAR BRINGS THE "DRAMA" IN SEPTEMBER
Everclear has set a release date for its new studio album, called Welcome To The Drama Club. The disc will surface on September 12th through Eleven Seven Music, the same independent label that recently issued Buckcherry's comeback effort, 15. The group has already posted a track from the album, called "Hater," at its MySpace page, myspace.com/everclear. Another new song is expected to be posted shortly.

  • Everclear has kept a low profile since the release of its last album, 2003's Slow Motion Daydream. Bassist Craig Montoya and drummer Greg Eklund left the group that same year, while the band parted with its label.
  • Frontman Art Alexakis has assembled a brand new, five-piece lineup for the new record. Alexakis was the subject last month of an article in Oregon newspaper the Willamette Week, which discussed his bankruptcy as well as his efforts to reduce support payments to two ex-wives. Alexakis, a resident of Portland, has refuted much of the story at the band's MySpace page.
  • Everclear has some shows lined up throughout the summer, including a performance this Friday (June 23rd) in Seaside Park, New Jersey.

QUICK HITS
Audioslave has set September 5th as the release date for its third album in four years, titled Revelations. The first single will be called "Original Fire."

Rob Zombie, Papa Roach, Fall Out Boy, Audioslave and Nickelback are among the artists who contribute music to the soundtrack of the upcoming FlatOut 2 video game, which is due out this August in Xbox, PlayStation 2 and PC formats. Other artists included in the game include Wolfmother, Yellowcard, Megadeth, the Alkaline Trio, Supergrass and Rise Against.

Alice In Chains will issue a two-CD set called The Essential Alice In Chains on July 25th, according to ThePRP.com.

CNN.com's page for Anderson Cooper 360 should be dubbed Angelina 360 today. Much of the site is dedicated to his much-hyped interview with Angelina Jolie, which airs tonight (Tuesday).

Remember Gin Blossoms? They're back on tour this summer and have a new album coming out called Major Lodge Victory.

Ani DiFranco's next album, Reprieve, comes out Aug. 8.
