SEETHER ARE A TRIO
Seether is getting ready to hit the road this summer, but they?ll be doing it as a trio. According to MTV News, guitarist Patrick Callahan has left the band. They will not replace him, but will keep it running as a three-piece. In a post on the band?s MySpace page, they said they felt that the change is ?a positive one.? Fans can expect a much more stripped down set, since the band have embraced their acoustic side. Speaking of which, Seether will release an acoustic album called One Cold Night on July 11th. The disc also comes with a DVD, which features live footage of their acoustic set.

YELLOWCARD ARE BACK
It?s been a tough year for Yellowcard frontman Ryan Key. Despite the fact their third album, Lights and Sounds, went gold this year, Ryan had to postpone the tour due to a cyst on his vocal chords. After undergoing surgery, the singer is back in good health and back out on the road. The band will play the Nokia Theatre in New York City on Wednesday night along with Matchbook Romance and Hedley. You can catch the band?s performance on CD USA over on YellowcardRock.com.

WHO?S NEXT? BLUE OCTOBER
Texas band Blue October have been chosen as the Users Choice Winner on Yahoo Music?s Who?s Next feature. If you head over to Music.Yahoo.com, you?ll find out some interesting trivia about the band (like the fact that 50 Cent is their secret musical influence), an interview and a live performance of their huge single ?Hate Me.? Blue October?s latest album Foiled is in stores now. You can catch them play Lafayette, Louisiana tomorrow night.

TOOLING AROUND WITH NEW TRACKS
Tool
took about a year to put its new album together, and yet there was still one track that had to be knocked together at the last minute. Bassist Justin Chancellor explains, ?There is actually one track that we didn?t do until we were in the studio called ?Intension,? which just allowed ourselves to be a little more experimental to see how that worked out, how that fit in.? The new Tool album, 10,000 days, is ranked at number 14 on this week?s Billboard chart.

STONE SOUR FRONTMAN CALLS WIFE 'PATIENT PERSON'
Between singing for Stone Sour and Slipknot, not to mention producing other groups and starting his own label, vocalist Corey Taylor doesn't have a lot of free time for a normal family life. But Taylor told LAUNCH that he credits his wife Scarlett for supporting him in everything he does, "My wife is a very, very patient person. She blows up once in a while, but I mean, she supports me no matter what. You know, everybody says something in the heat of the moment that you don't mean, you know, especially in arguments -- especially in a married argument. But I mean, at the end of the day, you know, you apologize and she supports me 110 percent, and that's what matters."

  • Taylor recently told MTV.com that Scarlett also saw him through a difficult time in his life in which he struggled with alcoholism and even attempted suicide. Taylor explained, "I tried to jump off the balcony of the eighth floor of the Hyatt on Sunset (Boulevard) on November 14, 2003. Somehow she stopped me. It wasn't the first time I tried to kill myself, either." The singer has now been sober for over two years.
  • Stone Sour will release its second album, Come What(ever) May, on August 1st. Two singles from the disc are now circulating, "30/30-150" and "Through Glass."
  • Come What(ever) May follows up the Iowa-based band's self-titled 2002 debut, which featured the hit "Bother."
  • Stone Sour will join Korn, Deftones and Flyleaf on this summer's Family Values tour, beginning on July 27th in Virginia Beach.

BUCKCHERRY GET 'ADULT' WITH NEW VIDEO
Buckcherry has made two versions of the video for its current single, "Crazy Bitch." There's a clean version for music video outlets and an explicit version, featuring plenty of female nudity and uncensored lyrics, that you can view at the band's website. Guitarist Keith Nelson told LAUNCH how the group convinced a large of number of women to get down and dirty for the shoot. "We did an open casting on our MySpace page for any, you know, attractive females that wanted to come down and join us for free and an open bar for an afternoon, and basically, we got a really good response. We were lucky enough that the Key Club in Los Angeles had let us use their downstairs lounge, which we turned into a strip club. We literally opened the bar and rolled the cameras. What you see is what you get, it was a lot of fun."

  • The band's website also features 'behind the scenes" footage from the video shoot.
  • "Crazy Bitch" comes off Buckcherry's third album, titled 15, which debuted at a career best Number 48 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart.
  • Buckcherry is touring the U.S. now and plays tomorrow night (Tuesday, June 20th) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
  • The band recently signed a major label deal with Atlantic Records to market 15, which was initially released independently through Eleven Seven Music.
