WHY BRENT WILSON ISN?T WITH PANIC! AT THE DISCO
When word first hit that Panic! At the Disco bassist Brent Wilson had parted ways, it appeared that it was an amiciable split, but according to MTV News, that is definitely not the case. Although the band posted a comment on their Website saying that it was a ?decision we all came to as a band, ? Wilson has a whole other story. The former bassist says that he was kicked out of the band without any discussion. He said that he received a phone call in which drummer Spencer Smith told him that he was no longer needed. Panic! have responded by saying that it was Brent?s ?lack of responsibility and the fact that he wasn?t progressing musically with the band.? They went onto say that he ?did not write any of the bass parts on the record. Brent did not write one note on the record. Brent did not record one note of bass on the record.? Panic! released a Live EP yesterday, which was recorded in San Francisco and is now available exclusively at iTunes.

KORN MAN COMES HOME
Korn frontman Jonathan Davis was admitted to a London hospital last weekend for a blood illness, but the singer has been released, according to MTV News. Davis is not out of the woods though, he?ll return to the U-S in the next few days where he will be under close medical attention. His father, Rick, told the local paper, The Bakersfield Californian that Davis will most likely enter a medical facility when he returns. He also told the paper that his son is in good spirits, but also realizes the severity of his diagnosis. Davis was diagnosed with a disorder in which a low blood-platlet count prevents the blood from clotting as it should. Korn have been forced to cancel some European dates due to Davis? condition. Davis will be joined by his bandmates on the same flight back to the U-S.

AFI ARE NUMBER ONE!
Los Angeles band AFI were bound to be celebrating yesterday when they found out that their new album, Decemberundeground, will debut at number one on next week?s Billboard album chart, according to figures from Nielsen Soundscan. This will be the first ever number one for AFI in their fifteen-year career.

FOO GREATEST HITS EXPECTED THIS YEAR
Foo Fighters will launch its first-ever acoustic tour next month, but once the group finishes the trek, it's not likely to start working on a new album right away. Drummer Taylor Hawkins told LAUNCH what fans could expect toward the end of the year:. "Well, people are talking about a 'Greatest Hits,' you know, and if we do that, I'm sure we'll do a couple of songs for it, you know. That's what everybody does, right? Do a 'Greatest Hits' and then record another song so they can put it out as a single and sell the 'Greatest Hits' or whatever. So, yeah, we'll do that, you know. I think that'll be before we make another record."

FORMER METALLICA BASSIST CALLS ROCK STAR BAND "FUTURISTIC"
Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted told MTV.com that Supernova, the band he's in with ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee for the new season of CBS-TV's Rock Star series, is "quite futuristic-sounding." He explained, "Tommy is coming from a very hip place with a lot of electronica and crazy, heavy beats covered with his real drums. And my slabs of (bass-playing in the styles of) Kyuss and (Black) Sabbath are in there. Then you've got Gilby's rock and roll guitar over it all. So the balance of elements is really...cool."
