The world changes. Constantly. Centuries pass and the very fiber of humanity and its existence either adapts and overcomes, or stubbornly digs in and withers. Many crossroads and bridges lie along this path of time.

Back about five years ago when my kids were whisked away to H-town by the wicked witch of the east, I had a strange conversation with my daughter. I was talking with her about the changes in her life and how she was coping with them.

How they entwine the reasons for our own fractured forces of forethought. The little tidbits of information we grasp from the grapevine of gossip, and in the process someting gets lost..the truth.

I have been following the fiasco in Zimbabwe for some time now and this morning I read some interesting quotes and news articles concerning the huge pile of festering feces over there. It seems that as much as the Western politicians call for the ousting of Robert "The Toad" Mugabe, he stands defiantly in power with no intentions of relinquishing power.

What follows is what I did to cut my electric bills almost in half. Bear in mind I have a gas water heater and gas furnace during the winter, but still have a tremendous amount of electrical stuff in my house, just like everyone else.
