For well over a year I've been writing on this site. I've blogged about anything that interested me, hoping it would interest you enough to read it. That's what blogs are for, right?
Well, after thinking this through quite a bit, I've decided to hang up my keyboard here on the MRT Community. There are several reasons, and as usual, I'll list them in excruciating detail.
Reading the story of a man being stabbed to death this morning, and reading the associated comments attached to the story prompt me to speak up. Or, scream out loud, as may be the case.
The world changes. Constantly. Centuries pass and the very fiber of humanity and its existence either adapts and overcomes, or stubbornly digs in and withers. Many crossroads and bridges lie along this path of time.
What follows is what I did to cut my electric bills almost in half. Bear in mind I have a gas water heater and gas furnace during the winter, but still have a tremendous amount of electrical stuff in my house, just like everyone else.
Every year, thousands of lives are lost to intoxicated drivers. Sometimes the intoxicated live, and sometimes they die along with their victims. No matter, there is no justice in either case.
If you've been around Midland for 25 years or so, you may remember a waterpark we had called "Wild River Canyon."
It was located in the 5300 block of Princeton, near what is now the north/south lanes of Loop 250, which didn't exist back then.
Growing up in Midland, and living here as an adult, one of the characteristics of it's citizenry that stands out is stubbornness.
