Health Benefit from Wine?

I hear it all the time, "But there is a health benefit from a glass of red wine a day." I see and hear people all the time attempting to reduce cardiovascular conditions by drinking red wine. Cutting out the high fat diet and adding some exercise to the daily routine is the real thing that works. Research proves that a person would have to consume approximately 750 bottles of red wine a day to receive any benefit.

In some studies, laboratory mice were ingested with massive doses of a high fat diet and resveratrol - a substance found in the skin of red grapes and stressed plants. The mice given the special study diet lived longer and healthier than those that did not receive the diet containing the resveratrol.

Perhaps other methods of health changes could be used rather than drinking so much wine.
