If your looking for a new burger experience, you have to try Burgers, Fries and Cherry Pies.
Where is it you ask... at Wadley and the loop, next to Cuppy's Coffee. A very unassuming place. Some tables and chairs, with a counter at the back.
What makes it different... well, they have some new takes on an old favorite.
They don't just do burgers, they do gourmet burgers. I has the "No Kissy" burger. It is very appropriately named. All of the burgers start with hand formed patties. This one had the added flavor of wonderful roasted garlic and was served on a delicious white bun, definitely not your average bun. But the name was right, I wouldn’t pick this one on a first date, unless you didn’t like the guy!
Graham had the Hawaiian burger. His came with Pineapple and Teriyaki sauce, and he added swiss cheese and had it served on a wheat bun. This combination is a delightful surprise. Unexpected on a burger, but delicious, and a bit messy.
The best burger choice went to my grandmother. Berta had the southwestern. The roasted green chili flavor on this burger was fantastic. She also had hers on a wheat bun with swiss cheese. This burger took first prize at our table. It was subtle and enjoyable. The green chili had a nice slightly smokey flavor.
My mom had the chili burger, her only complaint was that the chili was a bit runny, but it did have excellent flavor.
The fries were pretty good too! I'm looking forward to trying their Greek fries on our next visit... feta cheese and garlic YUM!!!!! I might get up the nerve to try their Jalapeño Bun too, but which burger?????? So many to choose from.. maybe the "Porky" or the "italian"... decisions decisions.
The prices were reasonable $5 for 1/3 pound burger, $4.95 for the specialty fries... oh and they have that good crushed ice! They have kids meals for $4.
So, go try it!!!!!!!!
