COMEDY COMES CLEAN is a stand-up comedy show hosted by First Baptist Church coming to Midland's Yucca Theatre, 208 N. Colorado, at 8 pm on SAT. APR. 5. Tickets are $10 and are available in the church office, and at Mardel's and Chic-fil-A. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to bring family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, or all of the above to an exciting event that will show non-believers we like to laugh and have fun. Get your Bible Life Group organized to come as a group!
Charles has the wackiness of a Chris Rock and the observational humor of a Jerry Seinfeld but none of the bad language or suggestiveness that permeates stand-up comedy. The show is totally G-rated. You can see some of his comedy on You Tube-go to http://www.youtube.com/user/cwmcomedy to see for yourself.
The show starts at 8 so your group can have dinner then head to the show. Childcare is FREE at the church (birth - third grade) but you must call for reservations by Monday Mar. 31. At 8 pm the music group "Shattered Glass" will take the stage. This group is headlined by Richard Martin, who plays lead guitar for our 9:50 service. They'll sing hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, then we'll give away about $1200 in door prizes, then it's the main event! We'll be done before 10 pm.
Remember, tickets are $10 through Friday Apr. 4, and $15 at the door so get your tickets early.
