Tri-Nations Rugby

The great thing about being a rugby fan is there is no off season. There is always a tournament being played somewhere in the world.Currently the Tri-Nations tournament is being played between Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

This morning I woke up at 5.00am to watch Australia vs. New Zealand live on Setanta Sports. What a great game. It was end to end stuff with ferocious tackling for eighty minutes. New Zealand were missing their inspirational captain Richie McCaw and it showed. The Australian skipper Stirling Mortlock was also injured but his replacement at captain George Smith showed capable leadership.

Australia were deserved winners at the end of a gruelling contest. Next week Australia travel to New Zealand for the return leg. Richie McCaw will be back in action so it should be a great game.
