Upon this spot not long ago, I planted a young Rose Bush. Upon this day I made a pledge to tenderly care for it, and make sure it not only survived, but had the best that God and I could offer it. God sent his sunshine and rain, his gentle breeze of evening to sway its tender branches and leaves. I supplied extra protection through fertilizer and insect repellent combined.
Together: God and I watched the young bush grow taller and fuller, it's green leaves sparkled under Gods sunlight, and all was well.
One day upon visiting the young Rose bush, I observed that God had released a tender young rosebud upon the plant. Tiny at first, it began to flourish and before long the bush was covered with young tender rosebuds.
Through the months and years that followed, God and I embraced the Roses and the Rosebush as they filled our days with beauty and fragrance.
Tender grows the rose: Got any Roses growing around you? I am not talking of the flower on the bush, I am talking of the living roses we all have: Our families, our parents, our siblings, our friends, our co-workers, ourselves.
We all are like flowers that need tender care such as: love, devotion,
trust, giving and sharing with each other the good times, the bad times, the unsure times, and above all the love of each other times. Christ has Agapa love: love without boundreis, without requirements, without restrictions, without being fragmented, his love is pure, sure, and complete.
Isn't it time we started nurturing and tending too the needs (not always the wants) of the roses in our lives. Believe it, receive it..Bob Lester
