I read the article about Mr. Conway feeling torn up inside over the angst of having to vote for or against the bail out. Well, that is why the crown is heavy, right??? However, when an elected official puts big business before constituents, that official deserves to lose their job. Millions of families here in America have to make the hard choices every month about how best to spend the money they have. When an individual family over extends themself, they get punished (and quickly, real quickly) by the very financial institutions that are now finding themselves in turmoil. The average family/person is subject to NSF fees, late fees, overdraft fees, bounced check fees, ATM fees, money order fees, printed copy request fees, stupid banker fees and even stupider government fees. It seems to me that the financial industry (and government beauracracies) has gotten pretty adept at coming up with new fees every chance they can find to take MORE money from our pockets. And as if that isn't bad enough in itself, now they have mismanaged their own companies and want Joe Taxpayer to bail them out. Wait a minute, didn't you make millions in salary and bonuses last year??? Why don't you put YOUR millions back into YOUR company and bail yourself out?!?!? OH, that's right, it's a corporation and you are protected individually from having to personally be held accountable for screwing up your own company. Well, we should be protected from being held accountable for your screw-ups too!!! Only one problem with that.....the guy protecting us just sold us down the river!! Thanks Conway (and all your fellow congressmen), you ass!!!!
